What is Wensdi? - Sunday, the cat returns.

Remember when I used to draw cats in jumpers, almost obsessively? As much as I enjoyed doing that, I must say drawing girlies in barely any clothing or their underwear is much more enjoyable for me! 

But what if I combined the two? And had a sexy girl in a jumper with a cat in a jumper on it? A friend of mine seemed skeptical that I could make cats in jumpers sexy.

Well Mister, take a look at this sexy puss! 

When I started this drawing to prove my Mr. Friend wrong, I started to think perhaps I'd set myself a more difficult task than I had realised. However, looking at this final piece I'm going to give myself a big pat on the back, she's hot!

I think she may be my favorite girlie yet! I really want the bra and knickers! She reminds me a lot of my friend over at http://pony-chops.blogspot.co.uk/. That might be because I miss her, or because she has similar hair and is channeling the same level of Hot as the gorgeous Miss Chanty.

I did this illustration on cartridge paper, and found it much easier to do the smooth shading on it. I can really see the difference. It probably also helped that I did her on a bigger piece of paper rather than in an A5 sketchbook, so the details actually shows up on the camera. 

I am very excited to do the next girlie, anyone got any challenges for me? Please feel free to suggest something.

What is Wensdi? - Saturday - Do I expect too much?

Currently I'm listening to Jefferson Airplane's "Surrealistic Pillow" album, I know I have a friend out there who will call me a hippy, whatever this album is awesome and makes for good background music when I'm working. I'm sure there is something to be said about listening to hippy music and drawing sexy women, but I don't care enough to expand upon it. If anyone out there would like to, then please educate me :).

Today, I have another "pin up" from my sketchbook. Are these girlies pin ups? I think yesterdays one could definitely be classed as a pin up, today's maybe slightly less so, what do you think?

This one was done in a different sketchbook, I think the paper is even more disappointing for pencil work than the paper in the other sketchbook! It's great for ink work as the paper doesn't bleed, which suggests to me the makers of the sketchbook intended it more for note taking and writing. Lesson learned, just because a book has blank pages and looks sexy, all leather bound and shiny, does not mean it will have paper good enough to draw on.

The quality of these picture makes the artwork look a little rough, don't get me wrong they are rough as they're just doodles from my sketchbook, but they're a lot smoother in real life than what these pictures show. Her face is also prettier, for some reason the camera struggles to pick up the details on the faces. When I get a really fancy scanner I'll scan them, that should hopefully show the detail better.

I've yet to receive any offers of a moleskine sketchbook, I'll keep waiting, as I believe it will happen soon. Or is that me having too much expectation again? Naaaaah.

I really enjoy drawing lingerie and clothing, specifically clingy, body fitting clothing. I'm hoping if I draw enough sexy and pretty stuff a lovely lingerie company will come along and snap me up to work in their design department. I think I have just realised what it is I want to do for a living. For a little while at least, ha!

What is Wensdi? - Saturday. My gosh four days in a row, something has changed.

I think its because I'm really enjoying this piece and I like seeing it progress. I imagine other people would have an interest in seeing the process too.

Also stopping and taking pictures gives me a chance to see what needs changing so I can go a head an fix it before I commit too much ink and time to it. 

For example, I have changed the hand but now I have noticed that the fingers on the hands need to be slightly more slender, and the neck needs to be changed as its not in the correct place.

So in the next update I probably would have made these changes.

I'm already starting to get a little bit crazy from doing all the hair detail. There is still so much to do! It's going to look soooo good!

What is Wensdi? - Monday, I got a piece done today in 2 hours!

Yeah it's a lot more basic and doesn't have nearly half the detail that I add to my work, but I like it a lot. I really enjoy drawing stockings.

:D Just wish I had an A3 scanner now so I could get a really good digital copy of all my lovely works.

Can you believe it? Another piece finished, it's like when you're inspired you get stuff done...

Ha! Proper chuffed with myself got it finished by 6pm! Doesn't she look lovely?As with anything, it looks even better in real life! I do however think that there is something missing from the bottom, something dark that would help the orchids pop. I don't know what I could put there to change that just now, and since I usually ruin my work by over doing it and not knowing when to stop. I'm forcing myself to leave it be, because it is rather lovely as it is.

I will be spending the rest of the day finishing her off, I have challenged myself to be finished before 6 tonight, so I guess I better crack on! 

What is Wensdi? - Thursday! Work in progress!!

As you can imagine, I got sick and tired of the piece of work I previously showed in progress. This doesn't mean it will remain unfinished, but until I can summon the strength to complete it, I am going to work on other pieces instead.

Pieces such as this beauty! I am especially excited by her as I have been working on this face shape and style in my sketchbooks and have developed it and this is the first piece I have started with this look to it. I can't wait to finish her I reckon I could be done by tomorrow afternoon! I'll take more in work in progress pics so you can all revel in its development.

What is Wensdi? - Tuesday

Today I will mainly be playing out in the sun and drawing lots of silly things with The Ginger one (cosmosandcrayons) and The Plaskett one (plaskettanimations)!!! 

This should be lots of fun and hopefully we will all have lots of marvelous goodies to share with you when we get back. However failing that, we might just get fat off falafel burritos and splodge for the rest of the day lazing away in the sun.

Yes, you heard me right I forgive you. It's not like you tried to stay in touch with me!! But I'm not going to hold a grudge I'm going to let it go and hope you can find the strength to be as brave as me and forgive me.

I really am going to start posting more regularly again, because I have soooo many awesome wonderful things I want to draw and share with you all. I can't wait to show you the cats in jumpers!

What is Wensdi? - Tuesday's it's pancake day...

It's pancake day today, I'm not going to be having pancakes though as I don't really like them unless they're made by someone else. So maybe it's the making pancakes I don't like? Nah pretty sure it's because every time I make them they aren't particularly nice and are usually rubbery.

Anyway, I have some nice pieces to share today. I have been working on some bigger pattern girls at A3 size, there can be a lot more detail put into the pattern, but I think I need to jig about with scaling pattern slightly if I was to work bigger still.

I have also been working on some group piece's They're also done on A3 but the girls are done at a much smaller scale. So I've had to make separate versions of them so they can be appreciated properly on a screen.

What is Wensdi? - Wednesdays

Oh deary me, I don't have a lot of time today, I feel like the White rabbit rushing round left, right and centre, I haven't even got much to show, I need to do another sketchbook and doodle cull. For now here's the last few bits I have.

Just some heads, working on ideas of hair styles, I really like, well all of them. I've found since I've started to show my doodles and work I've become rather motherly and protective of them, I don't want to say I like any one more than the others as I love all my drawing children and don't want them growing up with mother issues...

Owlies pretty self explanatory, they are owls...I have an idea for these guys, something along the lines of owlie news, with little illustrations of the owls depicting news stories. We'll see if it comes to fruition. 

                                           

                                             

And some other doodles, Balloony June, her hands are balloons and can blow up to bigger sizes and can explode, don't really know what I was thinking about when I made her, all I know is there is actually nothing more terrifying than a balloon popping, so she'd make one heck of a super villain...Anyway, there's also a shrunken head, she's pretty isn't she? She shouldn't be, but she is.

You know considering I started this post with the awareness of decreasing time, its turned out to be one of the wordiest posts I've written, not that much has actually been said.
